Saturday was a busy and productive day for us. The first half of the day was dedicated to a major shopping trip. I haven't be able to go shopping for a while cuz of sick kids, so this was a big trip. It was also a not a fun trip (kind of a duh comment, cuz, can grocery shopping with kids ever be fun?). Caden was not in a very good mood and Jordan soon followed suit. If it were possible I would boycott grocery shopping.
Ken unexpectedly came home early from work. We decided it was a perfect opportunity to mow the lawn. We borrowed a lawn mover from the Ericksens (our hometeacher) since ours has been out of commission the last few weeks. Mowing was quite the project with long grass and lots of leaves. It looked so nice when it was done. I love freshly mowed grass.
The kids had fun playing in the sandbox. It was such a nice day. Sadly, I think that this will be the last time they will get to do this this year. The forecast is calling for colder weather and rain.
That night we gave Caden a haircut. I didn't mind the length but it was getting too long around his ears. I wish he held still enough so that I could cut with the scissors so that we could keep it a little longer. Oh well, he still looks way cute!

I always love how the yard looks after mowing the grass and clearing the leaves in the fall, but you have to hurry and enjoy it because our yard at least is covered again almost as soon as you finish!
His hair looks cute! You know...if you want it longer...you can get clipper guards all the way up to size 10 at a beauty supply store (like Sally's). That's what we do (except this last time...James took the scissors to the front of his hair so we had to buzz it).
