Ava Meets Santa -n- More

Some pictures of Ava getting ready on a cold winter night . . .

Who doesn't want to reach out and squeeze those cheeks?

Decorating the Christmas tree

Ava was able to meet Santa a couple of times this year.  It went the same both times.  3 steps:
Step 1: Ava warily checking out the man in the red suit.

Step 2: Santa spoke . . .

Step 3: Ava, terrified, begging for someone, anyone, to save her.

Kailyn, I think you're getting a little big for Santa!

Let's see if Jordan follows the same 3 steps as Ava?

Guess not.  What a cutie.  Also getting a little old for Santa's lap, it looks like.

Caden pulling off the bashful look . . .

then warming up enough to tell Santa he would sure like some Legos.

Chase didn't have much to say.  He was just excited to get the candy cane.

The Bassett clan with Santa barely visible in the back.

Ava feeds herself

Little miss independent has started wanting to feed herself.  I think she did a pretty good job!  Not as dirty/messy as she could be!  This was a good day, though.  She did use the fork a couple of times, but it had to be preloaded.

Just Some Kids Pics

Ava helping Kailyn with her homework.

Mom and Ava.

This girl is a little vacuum. She puts everything in her mouth. Its no wonder when she does, with 4 older siblings she is reward 60% of the time with something good to eat that the kids have dropped. The other 40% is little pieces of paper or wrappers. Sometimes she will be fussing and we aren't sure why. Then we will get a glimpse of something in her mouth and discover a piece of paper stuck to the roof of her mouth.

Here she is with a chunk of apple she found on the floor.

I just have to squeeze her cheeks (the pictures looks awful, I promise I don't squeeze very hard) and she automatically spits out whatever is in her mouth.

Playing with brother's hat.

Going to see where all of the kids went to. (Don't you love the mismatched hand-me-downs from older brother?)

Trying a new way to curl the girls' hair (unfortunately, their hair didn't dry all of the way during the night so it didn't work very well.)

Caden prepared just incase our house floods during the night.
