Day on the Dairy Farm

A local dairy farm opened their doors to the public. They provided a free lunch and free ice cream. We were able to pet a baby calf and see how the cows were milked. As we were getting ready to leave after lunch and ice cream the kids noticed some baby cows in the field they wanted to check out. We went to look and walked past a barn. We peeked in through the cracks of the barn and saw a brand new calf that had just been born. Wow! Then we noticed that a baby calf was being born. Yes, we (the kids and I) saw a baby calf be born. It was pretty neat to see, and the kids were excited, as well.

Ava loves ice cream.

She did not care for the cone but was happy to eat it from a bowl.
