CTR

Our ward is learning about choosing the right. Every month they choose a different class to take home these flat CTR heroes. If they are caught choosing the right they get their picture taken and get to share it with the Primary. Here is how some of our kids chose the right...

One day I walked into the boys room to find their dresser covered, and I mean covered, with scribbles. Although Caden made a mistake by drawing on the dresser he chose the right by telling the truth. When asked who had drawn on the dresser he immediately confessed (ironically I later found his signature--good thing he didn't lie). He cleaned it all up and promised to never write on anything but paper ever again. He has kept his promise.

One day Jordan came into the house bawling. Kailyn asked what was wrong. Jordan said that a neighbor kid was not being nice and had taken something from her claiming it was his. Kailyn asked where it had happened and said she would go and get it for Jordan. Kailyn was so calm. She was able to go and get the toy back for Jordan without escalating the problem. She chose the right by standing up for her sister.

Chase always thinks he is one of the big kids. He insisted on getting his picture taken like the other kids.

I don't know which story I love more--graffiti-signing Caden or wonderful big sister Kailyn. Great stories, fun idea!
