Day 1 in Denver

We took a little trip to Denver, Colorado.  The first day we checked out the Aquarium.

One of the fun exhibits was this one. You walk into this dark tunnel that looks a raven. Then a speaker comes on warning of flash floods. Suddenly a HUGE wave of water comes pouring out of the sides. The water looks like it is going to come splashing down and take you out but you are saved from drowning by a big plate of glass that the water splash into. Although, no one drowned we definitely got wet.

Kailyn learned about something called an archer fish in one of the books she read. The archer fish gets its food by spitting water way into the air at bugs flying overhead. Kailyn was excited to see the fish in action at feeding time.

The funnest part was at end when you could touch the sting ray. Everyone touched them (even Ava). Kailyn was very hesitant but we eventually got her to touch one.

After the aquarium we walked over to a children's museum. Unfortunately, they were cloying in 30 minutes but after they offered us a huge discount, we decided to go for it.
