Sure, gas prices are outrageous in Toledo--jumping about 40 cents over the past month (all the way up to 3.79 per gallon), rice can be hard to come by, milk is not cheap, but Pizza? Nothin' like Papa Johns pizzas for $0.23 each! Yup, after Lebron James was labeled a "bawl baby" (by a Papa Johns franchise owner) and T-shirts to that effect were made in Washington, D.C., Papa Johns offered $0.23 pizzas, 1 per person, as an apology (Lebron's number is 23). This deal was limited to Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo (not sure how we came up winners in this, but, oh well). We were just going to get 2 pizzas, but then we saw people coming out with pizzas for their brand new babies and figured that at least Caden will eat his. So, 5 large pizzas at $0.23 each--$1.15! Not bad. And we only had to wait 2 hours to get it! (Okay, the wait showed how desparate we are for cheap pizza, but it makes for a good post on our blog!)

WoW! Thats great to get pizza for just about nothing! I just love when we can get great deals.
We saw you guys at the front of the line when we got there. Sadly we couldn't get there any earlier, but we got a rain check and now we can get our $0.23 pizza anytime before Monday and the line won't be as bad. I was a little sad that we didn't get pizza last night, but I didn't want to stand in line that long. Looks good!

Funny! I too stood in line with the boys for 45 minutes and got 3 pizzas; we milked that for all it was worth. It took another 45 minutes to get the pizza but they sure were good!
