August 2015, Part 1

In August, I was a on committee to plan a neighborhood night out. This event was an opportunity for those in our neighborhood to get together and get to know each other a little better. It was a lot of fun. We had inflatables for the kids. We had lawn games. We had great food. What a great way to enjoy the end of summer.

Ava

Hannah drinking her juice by dipping her fingers in and then sucking it off. Doesn't seem very efficient to me.

Hannah can draw a crowd. Who doesn't love a cute younger sister?

Hannah loves Jordan's friend Olivia. She gets so excited whenever she sees her. Olivia is so patient with her, especially considering she doesn't have younger siblings. Olivia even held Hannah as dirty as she was, juice and dinner down the front of her and all over her hands.

The girls went to a late night swim with their friends. They said it was a ton of fun. The lifeguards threw a "million" glow sticks into the pool and the whole pool was glowing and the kids were diving for the sticks and wearing them.

I think Kailyn likes being in Young Womens. This is what Ken found when he went to pick her up after her first activity.

What kid doesn't like to play in water? Well, our kids love it!

Trying to sneak up on Caden.

We went to an Art Show and while we were waiting for the shuttle we got to ride some horses. Which the kids thought was so cool.

Riding the shuttle/bus to the art show.

The kids loved the art show. There were so many amazing artist there. Such a variety of art work to see.

This is our dear sweet Hannah. Yes, she is yelling...because Kailyn tried to help her get untangled from my purse straps. How dare Kailyn try to help her!

Then she just cried.

Then she tried to walk away and fell...yes, because she was tangled up in the purse strap. We tried to help you Hannah.

Determined to fix it by herself...while yelling the whole time (And to answer your question she never got out on her own. She eventually let me help her.

Hannah loves to help. Here she is grating my cheese for me.

Jordan decorated a bunch of tubs to look like different cars for the kids. They then used the tubs to watch a "drive-in movie."

Bike riding to the church....

To do a little cleaning.

Not sure we accomplished much, as soon as the prints were wiped clean some how new ones appeared (thanks Hannah),

Ken and I got a few dates this summer where we went and listened to some local bands play.

For my birthday, the girls gave me a coupon for a spa day. They did my fingernails and toenails, face mask, and gave me a massage. Jordan made all of the scrubs and face mask stuff. We even watched a movie during all of it. Fun to spend so much time with just my big girls.

Jordan removing the face scrub.

Jordan trying to watch the movie and give a massage.

Then Jordan wanted to try putting my make-up on.

Some cute pictures of Hannah.

I've loved reading all your summer posts! Such fun pictures - especially the Walker reunion. You've inspired me to get mine done - must...get...it...done... (I'm liking your idea of photo dumps to get caught up.)
