Our Boys

Chase is a creature of habit.  If we do it one way once we have to do it that way everytime. One time for gymnastics I had put on a pair of sweatpants over his shorts to keep his legs warm since it was a chilly day. Now he thinks that he has to have pajama pants on every time we go to gymnastics, and don't even try and convince him otherwise.  This week he has 5 layers of shorts/pants on and would not take any off.

Ready for school? Really, this is what Caden wore to school one day. Caden had Wacky Wednesday at school in honor of  Suess. (Those are swimming goggles on his faces with a slingy and pants tied around his neck like a cap and we forgot to put on his hat--a metal strainer--for this picture.)

Chase and Ava.

Caden said he wanted to help out and asked what he could do. This doesn't happen much, but boy I won't turn down an offer to help. Here he is cleaning our back glass sliding door, which as you can imagine with 5 little kids gets pretty dirty.

Chase and his favorite hat.

Who taught this kid how to use a toliet? We're not sure why he sits so low. (see above for why this hasn't be corrected. Yes, he did it once for some reason and now can't be talked into doing it any other way.)

This winter was fabulous (too bad they can't all be so nice). Chase, Caden and Ava enjoying playing outside in February.

Caden drawing a sun.

Chase trying to draw like his big brother.

In primary they are doing something similar to flat Stanley. At the first of the month the Primary sends home a CTR character and then when the child is caught choosing the right they are supposed to get their picture taken with the the CTR hero. Well one Sunday, Jordan got a treat at church. She quickly noticed that Chase was the only one out of all of her siblings who didn't get something at church. Without hesitation Jordan gave half of her treat to Chase. What a sweet girl. I hope she will also be so kind and generous.
