Too Much Halloween

Halloween seems to bring an excess amount of parties and candy. One of the parties we went to was at the High School. They had tons of carnival games, a maze, face painting, etc.
Kailyn playing a game.

Chase getting his face painted.

Playing a fishing game with some good friends. Owen W and Caden are friends (both in red on the left). Kailyn and her friend Anna W.

Apparently, Ava wasn't getting enough sugar from all of the candy.

Another party we went to was for the school. This was not actually a Halloween party but a fall party. The theme was cowboy/cowgirl.

Kailyn fishing for a treat. We didn't see a lot of her since she ran off and had fun with her friend Anna H (in the pink behind her).

Yum! Animal crackers.

Caden trying to show Ava how to get excited for such an exciting prize.

Chase giving it a whirl.

You were suppose to trow the balls into the bucket. Ava thought that just sounded too hard so she just went up and placed them in the bucket.

Jordan playing a dice game.

Playing the cupcake walk (Ava closes to camera with Chase to her right. Caden in the back with the green hat and Jordan in the yellow hat next to him.)

Ava won!

Chase bowling down the toilet paper.

Yes, we must all be around and cheering when its Ava's turn. Don't ask me why, but I do think its sweet.

They also had dancing. Ava was done. She got bumped, fell to the floor and refused to get up.

All of the school aged kids participated in the hula hoop contest (Caden in the center with orange shirt on). It was pretty intense. When it got down to a few they had them going from standing to kneeling, turning around, hopping on one foot, etc.

The next party was at the church. Food (we won the chili cooking contest!), games, and of course the trunk or treating

Jordan the princess, Kailyn the witch, Caden a Power Ranger (he has never seen Power Rangers but he love the muscles and color), Chase as batman, and Ava as Supergirl.

Even after seeing her brothers try and eat the donut off the string, this is what Ava did. The WHOLE time! She just starred at it, she refused to try and take a bit of it.  I kid you not, she just stood like a statue and stared.

And finally Halloween night. We met at some friends' house for dinner and then we all went trick or treating together. Ava was so funny. I have never seen that girl move so fast. She would go to the door get a piece of candy and run to the next house. She kept up with the big kids and did this the whole night never getting tired. It was so funny seeing her short little legs moving so quickly (she has these tiny little steps but boy can she move). We tried to record it but it was just too dark.

And that is how the Bassetts got WAY too much sugar but sure had a lot of fun!

Your kids are growing so fast! Chase looks like a mini Caden.
