A Chilly Day at the Zoo

It was a cold day today (10 degrees plus the wind chill factor). Ken had the morning off and so we decided to bundle up and head to the zoo. It was pretty chilly but we tried to stay inside as much as possible. It was definitely a fun morning with dad!

Hatching from eggs in the Aviary.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love Jordan's smile.

Kailyn's new friend.

Checking out the Rhino ice sculpture.

I can't believe you braved the outdoors yesterday. It took all I had just to leave my electric blanket!

Caden looks so cute in the bottom photo - I just want to squeeze him with him all bundled up like that! :)

Wow! I guess you guys have acclimated back to the cold. I don't take our kids out if it's colder than 40! I'm not really looking forward to moving where it's cold, but it's coming, whether I'm ready or not! :)

I'm gald to know that Jon and I weren't the only ones who braved the elements yesterday (more then just going to the car). Your children are such a joy.

Way to get out and do something!! I'm learning that you have to take advantage of times when "dad" is home and do something fun! Your kids look cute all bundled up! :)

what a fun day with daddy! We try to take advantage of those as well! Although we are wimps when it comes to getting out in the snow!

The kids just keep on growing. Do you ever stop having fun? So glad we're able to still see one another vie blogs:) Tell Kailyn and Jordan hello from Makayla and Sydney! Sydney continues to ask when we're going swimming and Jordan's again:(

The Frozentoesen (or whatever they call it) festival at the zoo is lots of fun. Well worth getting out for. Last year, it was so warm in January that they had a hard time keeping the ice sculptures from melting.
Your kids are so dang cute. Jordan really does have a fantastic smile!
