August 2015, Part 2

We had a ward BBQ "meet and greet" to welcome new members and, honestly, to just socialize.

Hannah loves playing in our water feature.

We ate dinner over at our friends' house (the Myers) and got the opportunity to hear from the missionaries.

I took the kids to  pick corn at the church's farm. The kids had a lot of fun and we got a lot of yummy corn that we ate and froze.

Shucking corn. Might as well make a mess here instead of at home in my kitchen.

Jordan and Ken went off roading.

Sure looks like they had a lot of fun!

They also did a little hiking.

Hannah
We took the kids and did a little back to school shopping.

Jordan with her friend Olivia, doing hair and nails.

Karate was outside one day. Ava was with me watching when they asked her if she would like to join in. She was so excited! She thought it was a lot of fun. She learned a little karate and played a lot of fun games.

The Myers invited us to their awesome neighborhood pool. The kids loved their slide!

When we first got there we had to drag Ava to go down the slide, but soon she was doing it all by herself, nonstop. I knew she would love it.

Hannah is cute, even when she makes a mess.

At a kids' fun run. Chase wanted it to look like he was running so we could remember why we took the picture.

They had a couple of fun things to do after. The kids loved this one. They would run and bump into each other.

Hannah loves her baby. Don't even think about trying to take it from her.

An owl that sometimes likes to hang out by our house, which we are actually happy about because he keeps the voles and mice away.

This girl loves the feel of food on her skin.

The kids' school had a back to school carnival. The boys were camping, but the girls had lots of fun without them! Jordan went first on the crazy peddle cart.

Ava wanted to do this one all by herself. I was afraid she wouldn't be able to, because it takes a lot to get these things going and they take some strength to steer. She actually did awesome!

Jordan rock climbing.

The kids read a ton this summer. They have a special breakfast for kids that read over a 100 hours throughout the summer. At the breakfast there was a presenter that needed volunteers, Jordan of course was quick to volunteer herself and Ava. Jordan did great getting all of the other volunteers to really ham it up. Everyone was hesitant at first but Jordan quickly got them moving.

Ava loved doing all of the crafts.
