Shoveling the walks--no big deal!

Yeah, so, our first snow storm came awhile ago (about 1 month ago, something like 8-10 inches).  I had an early shift at the hospital.  When I looked out, I wasn't sure I would make it to work in my little car--no one had driven on the roads yet, and it seemed like the snow reached the bottom of my door.  Somehow, I did make it to work and enjoyed the day indoors.  When I returned home, I found our driveway cleaned off and nonchalantly drove in to park without thinking much of it.  Oops!!  Shelly felt quite unappreciated.  Apparently, she spent 4 hours shoveling the driveway (remember she's only 6.5 months pregnant), and that was getting only half the driveway done (our neighbors took pity on her and finished the other half with their snowblower).  She told me matter-of-factly that we were getting a snowblower.  I reminded her how much they cost and blew it off.  The next morning, I found that the snow had drifted in our driveway, in some places up to 2 feet.  I went out to clear the driveway.  It was COLD.  With the wind blowing, it was 15-20 below.  I shoveled for about 20 minutes and called it good (remember: Shelly, the Prego, lasted 4 hours).  I went back into the house and announced that we were getting a snowblower.

Anyway, here's Shelly using the new snowblower.  She had some little helpers, as you can see.  And me?  Well, someone had to take the pictures!

Keeping safe

What a big helper!

That looks kind of deep (it's my side of the driveway)!

CUTE!!

Oh that is too funny! I think we would have given in and bought one too if it weren't for the bobcat that comes and does it for me! It just takes him a day or 2 after the storm! I have only got stuck in our driveway once! Way to go Shelley for shoveling! I refuse to. too cold and my back won't take it! :)

Oh, I feel your pain. I am so over the snow already. Anyway, publishing your blog is great. There are lots of companies or whatever, but I did blogtobook.com I think. I is powered by sharedbook and it was really easy. I just plugged in our blog address and it imported the whole blog right into a book. You can customize it but all I did was the covers and left everything else as is. The kids love looking at it. Good luck!

Shelly, you may be on to something. However, I think you should have held out for a snowblower that you can ride on with heated seats and a hot chocolate dispenser;P
