Happy Birthday Kailyn

While in Montana we celebrated Kailyn's birthday. She was so excited!! She hung out with Grandma Bassett during the day because she wanted to be surprised. I braved it and made her a princess/Barbie cake. Kailyn loved it! She came up to me after she saw it and said, "Mom, thank you so much for making me a Barbie cake. It is beautiful." Kailyn wanted the biggest slice of cake "cause it was her birthday." Having way more than enough cake to go around I decided to let her decide how big she wanted her slice. She decided on a very large piece but in the end only had a bite maybe two.

For dinner we ate pizza per Kailyn's request, ate cake and then opened presents. She was so excited about all of her presents from all of her grandmas and grandpas, aunts, uncle, brother and sister. She wanted to do nothing but play with all of her new toys all night and all day.

I love the cake Shelly. It really turned out pretty. I'm glad she still wanted to be suprised. It sounds like she had a wonderful day. That's funny about wanting the biggest cake and only eating a few bites. Thanks for sharing.

Happy birthday Kailyn and Shelly!

Now there are 7 pics of you in your file. The last pic of you on the post is really good; now Ken will have a great, recent picture to show of you to his coworkers.

You look really beautiful, Shelly. Thanks for sharing some pics of yourself. Your cake turned out really well, too -- way to go!

Amazing that Kailyn is starting Kindergarten. Your kids are so big! And is Jordan's hair really as not red as it looks in the picture?

The cake turned out really well. So is Kailyn loving school? Glad to hear you got back alright and are getting back into the swing of things - that is one of the worst parts of a vacation.

Cute cake, cute girls, including the mom. (Okay, Caden is cute too.) Rachael had a Barbie cake for her 6th birthday. I must confess (gasp) that I bought it from the local bakery. I'm very impressed by your talent.
