We were finally able to work schedules out and meet up with Scott and Kelsey. What better meeting place than the zoo. It was a really hot day, but the kids were so excited to see their Aunt and Uncle. After the zoo, we went out for dinner. Unfortunately, the first place we pick led us through a rough part of town and then into downtown, which was really busy and impossible to find parking. Scott and Kelsey rescued us by founding a great little burger place and everyone was happy (well other than the lady that glared down our table after Caden accidentally dropped his fork on the cement floor).

| Ken decided to treat everyone to ice cream. Ava and been in a slump up until this point, never really having woken up from her nap in the car. Boy, oh, boy did this ever cheer her up. The look on her face when she saw the ice cream was priceless (too bad we didn't have the camera ready). She perked right up and became talkative and giggly and suddenly had a lot more energy to walk. |

I wonder where Ava got her love of ice cream? Hmmmm.
I wondered the same thing. I think I'll go get some ice cream so I can think more clearly.
