Making the Game Cabinet

Ken works nights. So when he has a day off he actually has a night off. It has been a bit of a challenge for him to find meaningful things to do in the middle of the night that don't wake us or the neighbors. One of the things he has tested his hand at is making things. Here is one of his projects...

Look at the cool grooves that his new table saw can make.

Cutting all of the pieces.

Using a router to rabbet the back.

Caden, Chase, and Jordan filling in the nail holes.

They were so excited to be able to help.
Ava checking out the work, seeing that everything is up to standards.
Time to paint.
Kailyn helping with the painting.

I think it's looking good.

awesome job! I'm impressed. I could definitely use an extra cabinet for games and toys - there just never seems to be enough accessible closet space. Does Ken only work nights? Or is he just doing some night shifts for a week or so?

Ken is only working nights. It just works better for us instead of being all over the place. The plus is most nights he is there for dinner and bedtime (before he was hardly there at dinner time) the negative is we never get a full day to do things (we never get a weekend).
