Kids Pics Jan 2013

Ava loves her hat.
Ken gives Ava her favorite doll and stuffed toy.

She hugs them, walks out of the room, and immediately turns around.

Then she gives them to Ken. She does this over and over. She is obsessed with bringing us her toys especially her doll.

Caden

Jordan

Chase

Ava has gotten into hitting, especially poor Chase. On the other hand, she loves to hug and kiss him.

Kailyn getting ready for her class play.

Her friend spray painted her hair to be red like the character she was playing.

Kailyn did great in her play... loud, clear, eye contact, and great emotion. She did a really good job.

Taking a bow.

Kailyn designed and created the program cover.

The kids love having their friends over for dinner. Good thing that they have such great friends, I don't mind losing my sit every once in awhile. (Going around table clockwise: Jordan, Tessa, Ava, Anna, Kailyn, Caden, Chase, Kai)

Yep, I love my kids.

They are pretty amazing.

For Chase's birthday, he got this stuff to make bath water turn to slim. The boys were very hesitant at first, but Caden eventually warmed up to the idea and loved it. Chase loved walking around in it but refused to sit down.
Chase just walking around.

We got new sleds! Unfortunately, we haven't had much snow around here. Caden quickly found a solution.

Chase joined in and they and so much fun. Kept them happy forever.

Ava is definitely a strong willed child. She has started to refuse to take a nap and guess what happens, I find this cuteness on the couch at 4 o'clock.

Kailyn and her friend Anna playing.

Chase and Ava love to dress up.

I love when everyone can play together. Here is Kai, Tessa, Kaily, Jordan, Anna, Ava, and Chase all playing 'house/poor kids' together.

It doesn't take much to make my day. I had just gotten done putting Caden, Chase, and Ava to bed (Ken was working), I was exhausted it had been a long day. I came down to find the dinner table cleared and wiped down. Kailyn, bless her heart, had done it without me even asking. Total made my day.

Ava loves her "pack-pack".

Ava came up to me and asked me to put on Chase's new cape and mask that he had gotten for his birthday. As soon as I got it on, she bent her knees and poised and in a deep voice said "Batman!" (wish I could have recorded it, it was the funniest thing...so cute).

The Zoo and Casa Bonita's

Over the Christmas break, Ken had a couple days off so we decided to go and have some fun together as a family. The first stop was the zoo. It was a bit chill, but the kids still had fun.

Ava and loves her pockets.

The kids loved the aquarium...I think part of it was because it was inside and warm.

Pucker up!

The kids seeing how far they can jump compared to the zoo animals...

Ava, after about 5 jumps, is as far as a frog.

The next stop was Casa Bonita's for dinner. Ken actually ate here as a kid when he came here for FFA. He remembered it as being pretty cool and thought the kids would like it.

Outside

They had this long line that you waited in before you could even order your food.

It was really long...but the kids did a good job waiting.

Finally, we got our food (definitely not going to get any awards for their cuisine).
This is what made it so fun. They had a bunch of acts you could watch as you ate, and a big pool they would dive into below. I kids loved it!

What a fun day!

New Year's Eve

We decided to actually celebrate New Years with the kids this year. They have this deal where you pay a flat rate and then can get into a bunch of different show all night long. We started at an animal comedian act. Apparently, he was on America's Got Talent. He was good. The kids thought he was funny and Ava loved the dogs (she loves dog and has to point out every dog she she sees).

This guy had an act all revolving around spinning tops. He had won some National Title...who know there was such a thing.

This guys did a cowboy show. It was pretty fun although they had them in a bad venue, the ceiling was way to low for their show.

The last show was a bunch of different magicians. They were actually really entertaining. The kids liked them.

More magic show.

After all of the shows they were going to let off fireworks. It was late and Ava and Chase had crashed but Ken thought he would take the 3 oldest to go and watch while I stayed warm in the car with the 2 younger.

They sat and waited for awhile until someone came up and informed everyone that was waiting that they had actually already set them off.  Yeah, they set them off before any of the last of the shows got out and before the official go time in the program, not really sure what they were thinking.
