Chase was very excited to turn 5 this year because it means that he can now go to Kindergarten. He asks almost everyday how much longer till he starts Kindergarten. I tell him not for a loooooong time and then I list everything we have to got through before school starts again...trip to Yellowstone, swim lessons etc.
He was very excited for his birthday. Unfortunately, even though I told him repeatedly that he was not going to be able to have a friend party he started talking about his friend party on the way to school on the day of his birthday. I reminded him that he could not have one. Yes, everything seems to go in one ear and out the other. Luckily some friends (Ben and Dane Larsen) made a card that was a puzzle. Chase was so excited his friends gave him a present.
