First Lost Tooth

Caden's two bottom teeth have been wiggly for awhile now. When he first came to me to show me, I told him it looked like they were going to fall out. I think he was afraid. He told me to make sure to only pack soft food in his lunch since his teeth were loose. Then one day while eating a snack his tooth came out. He got a shocked/scared looked on his face and it took a minute to register what really happened. He then got a grin and said, "It didn't even hurt." I am not sure why he was so afraid to loose his tooth especially since he has two older sisters that have lost all of their teeth painlessly. Now that it is out, he is so excited to show everyone his holy grin.

Jordan's Baptism Day

Jordan was baptized on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11am. She has been so excited about this big day. Earlier in the week, we got a call saying they needed a recent picture of Jordan. I couldn't find one so we went and just shot a couple pictures. For spur of the moment (the lighting was not great) I think we got some pretty cute pictures of Jordan.

The whole Bassett gang.

A gift from the primary president, a bath towel with CTR stitched on it. She also gave Jordan a necklace.

Jordan with her dad.

The welcome table. The framed picture in the back is a little thing about Jordan. It has a picture of her , her favorite scripture, and her favorite song.

Jordan was baptized on the same day as Emma.

We were so blessed to have so much family that could come down for the baptism.  Back Row: Aunt Brenda holding Becky, Grandpa Bassett, Aunt Jackie, Grandma Bassett, Aunt Amy, Mom holding Ava, Dad, Uncle Scott (Aunt Kelsey was sick), Grandma Jones, Grandpa Jones. Front Row: Baer, James, Breven, Caden, Makayla, Hailey, Kyla, Chase, Kailyn, Jordan. There were also quite a bit of friends from the ward who came which was so nice considering we still feel new to the area.

Afterwards, all the family came to our house for lunch (and later dinner). We decorated the table in pretty pink in Jordan's honor.

Lunch was sandwiches, veggies and chips.

The little kids' table.

Ava checking out one of Baer's toys.

After lunch we went to the park to get some energy out of the kids. Jordan kept begging me to take her picture.

I am not sure what this group was doing, but they had so much fun climbing up and down the rocks.

The boys watched a couple kids play hockey. I couldn't believe how long they watched. Their conversation was so funny. "I am pretty good at playing catch so I bet I would be really good at being a goalie." It was really cute.

Grandpa Jones pushing kids on swings while the adults sat and talked.

Chase got a chance to play a little hockey.

Back to the house for lasagna dinner.

The kids table.

Grandma made a beautiful quilt for Jordan to help always remember how the Holy Ghost can be a comforter to us.

Hugs for Grandma Jones.

Grandpa Jones gave Jordan a silver round. He told her how a silver round says one dollar on it but is really worth a lot more than a dollar (about $30 at the time he gave it to her). He related this to the Holy Ghost and how the gift of the Holy Ghost is a lot more precious than what some may see at face value.

He also gave one to Kailyn since it is a tradition he wants to start but had missed Kailyn.

Kids' Projects

Jordan has been learning about the Greek Gods in school. Here she is, in the costume she created, ready to give a speech at school.

The second grade Art Show.

Something all of the second graders help create.

Jorndan's picture of herself.

They had an area where family members could create art too. Here are the fish that the kids added.

All of the art that Caden made through out the year this year.

Chase Turns 4

Our little guy is 4! Although he is excited to turn 4, he was hoping he was turning 5. He has constantly been asking when he will turn 5 so that he can start school. He has been so heart broken to see his big sisters and brother start school and not be able to go too. He still has a whole year left before he starts Kindergarten, its such a long wait for a boy wanting to go so badly. This boy loves to ride his bike and do whatever his big brother and sisters are doing. He doesn't understand why he can't do everything they are doing. He loves doing things with friends and is constantly asking to have friends over to play.

Chase wanted colorful cupcakes with sprinkles.

Chase loves Caden and loves when they play together. Whether they are playing super heroes, cars, or  pretending the ground is water infested with sharks, these boys have so much fun together.

Kailyn, you are too young to be annoyed by pictures.

Opening presents with so many excited on-lookers can be a bit crazy.

One of Chase's favorite gifts was this cape and mask.

Caden thought it was pretty cool too.

Giving Ava a hug. Apparently, we need to work on hugging vs choking.

Opening a package from Grandma and Grandpa Jones.
